To see Canyonlands National Park at sunset is truly spectacular! After the sun disappears below the horizon the twilight sky and the beautiful landscape begin to light up with vivid reds and oranges that make sunsets so striking in Canyonlands! This spectacular flight will carry you above the fantastic scenery of the northern district of the Canyonlands National Park, known as the Island in the Sky. Majestic 1,000-foot high cliffs rise above the Colorado and Green Rivers, which border it on either side. Serpentine drainage systems are carved into the terrain below the cliffs. Upheaval Dome can be seen at its northern end, the confluence of the two rivers form the district’s southernmost point. The flight then heads north over Moab and Spanish Valley, and concludes with a fly over Castle Valley to see the spectacular Castleton Tower.

Depart Canyonlands field and fly the Colorado River down the west side of Canyonlands National Park and get a bird’s eye view of the famous Cataract Canyon rapids. Then, fly on to see beautiful Lake Powell, Rainbow Bridge National Monument. After flying the length of Lake Powell we then fly up the east side of Canyonlands National Park before landing back at Canyonlands field.
