Neals Stories and Yummy Food
, Apr 2022
Our food tour was a lot of fun! This tour gave us a peek into a locals favorite spots to eat. We made four stops on our tour and ate six different foods. We loved everything we ate, and our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about the city and its history. Neal told stories along our walk and even stopped at things he thought we would find interesting. He was so kind and took his time with each of us and our questions.
Awesome food and great history

Great experience. The tour guide neal stevens was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of history to go along with each food stop. The mafalettas, gumbo, roast beef po boy and jumbalayas were all Delicious. The tour guide also accommodated me because I did not like seafood. The tour ended with a delicious praline filled beignet. A gust of wind blew the powdered sugar all Over my wife :)
Not worth it
, Apr 2022
I thought by signing up for a food tour that we wouldn’t have to wait as much. We usually entered an establishment and then waited as our tour guide got in line with the public to order us food. We had a beignet, rice and beans and shared a po boy- which we had no choice but to get gator or roar beef. I would have liked to try the shrimp but the samples were limited. We ended up leaving before trying our last spot- the restaurant said they couldn’t take us, so we went across the street and they also didn’t have space for us. Felt the money and time spent was not worth it. Could have easily got my own po boy with side of bean/rice and dessert..
Good food

Very friendly guide and very knowleable but maybe he could talk a little less before starting the tour so we get to the first food stop a little quicker and then tell some history while we are waiting for food. Good food choices Ina small group. Really enjoyed talking to the other participants.

We had a great guide in Holly, she was exceptional however a drunken guest ruined the tour and the food selections were not worth the price
